Amazing class, proximity and essence in a world class hotel

Amazing rooms, great views, awesome ambience and feeling due to proximity. Onboard meals are birlliant, with cooperative and yielding staff. Perfect place for a family. Prayer room is an amzing experience in itself if you feel you can't make it, and believe me you will not with the route and rush involved. The hotel opens into the Clock Tower mall and there is enough alternative to do there - please pay for and visit the museum on the life of the prophet (pbuh). The only short coming if one is the knowledge and capacity of reception/concierge/etc staff, lots of conversations are lost in translation, hidden upgrades are not understood and conveyed correctly. Otherwise an awesome hotel and unique experience.

Bad stay

Was so bad, elevator not working , i have complained multiple time no action has been taken also there was no butlers assistance if i call for same requested same thing they didn’t respond.

Great hotel..

The reception was wonderful and the receptionist Ahmed treated me with appreciation and happiness. The stay was wonderful, quiet, the hospitality was excellent and the quality of the food was excellent. I liked everything. I was alone and felt that I was in my home. I did not feel afraid or unsafe for a moment. Thank God. I will always choose Fairmont. Many thanks.

Well located

Overall experience was good, however check-in experience not good as booking could not be found & I was told to contact travel agent & this made me panic, I think hotel should have dealt with travel agent directly instead of having me ring them, we were very tired after a long journey but hotel insisted it was not their responsibility as booking not made through them, it was all sorted after couple of hours & we were glad to get access to our rooms

Never again

I have been a frequent guest at the Fairmont and have always had positive experiences. However, my recent stay was unfortunately a significant departure from this. From the outset, my sister and I were met with a level of service that fell short of the Fairmont's usual standards. Upon arrival, we were overlooked by bell staff who promptly assisted other guests. When checking in, we encountered confusion and assumptions about our status as Gold members, which was both unprofessional and unpleasant. The dismissive attitude continued throughout our stay. We were not offered refreshments as other guests were, and were subjected to questioning looks from staff members. Later, upon returning to our room, we discovered that our key card was not working. Despite explaining the situation and providing proof of our booking, the floor supervisor initially refused to believe us, insinuating that we were attempting to access a room that was not ours. It was only after much persistence that the issue was resolved. Following this incident, we lodged a formal complaint at the reception desk. While the staff member expressed empathy, the promised apology from the supervisor was never forthcoming. This experience was truly disappointing and left us feeling undervalued as guests. It is disheartening to see such a decline in service quality at a hotel that was once synonymous with luxury and hospitality.
